Who Are We?

Our mission is to bring French language and culture to life on the American stage, and to promote exchanges between American artists and the artists from the French speaking world. Théâtre du Rêve also strives to bring live theater and the French language and Francophone culture to students of all ages. With a team of highly professional, bilingual theater artists, the company has performed classical and contemporary plays and created productions, playing to sold out houses and to crowded museum theaters. See our company!

"I'm always amazed at the versatility and creativity of Théâtre du Rêve. It goes without saying that the acting is always of the highest caliber."
Cynthia Williams, patron and French teacher

Mission Statement

Théâtre du Rêve was founded in 1995 by Atlanta actress Carolyn Cook, fulfilling her dream of performing theatre in her adopted language, French. The company has grown to perform for and educate audiences not only in Atlanta, but across the Southeast, nationally, and even internationally.

With a team of highly professional, bilingual theatre artists, the company has gone on to produce new works and classics, often playing to sold-out houses. Tom Key, Artistic Director of Theatrical Outfit in Atlanta, has called our work "a glorious production of theater that made me...grateful and proud to be a part of this community, and filled with wonder through the power of art at the mysterious miracle of being alive."
